Learn to sail and make new friends on our youth GetOnboard Sailing Camp this summer.
Enjoy 'messing around on the river' Swallows and Amazons' style with one of our Royal Yachting Association (RYA) trained instructors with you at all times to show you the ropes!
3 fun packed days of learning the basics of how to sail, including how to stay safe on the water, how to tack down river and how to improve your knot knowledge. Fun team games throughout the day and a chance to be outdoors and socialising.
Please wear practical and comfortable clothing including non-slip shoes. Wearing layers is best as it can often get cooler out on the water.Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle with you every day.
All equipment provided including life jackets. Recommended for ages 8 and above. Please be aware that this course needs a minimum of 4 participants to run.
RYA OnBoard - OnBoard is the RYA's children's sailing programme. It offers children the opportunity to try watersports through their local centre in a safe, fun and structured environment.
Open to all children, OnBoard is a beginner programme that gets people on the water for their first time. If you would like to learn how to sail, there is no experience or equipment needed to get you started. The programme is also progressive, so you can work your way through the RYA Youth Schemes.
