Frequently asked questions

What age group is this tournament for?

This tournament is strictly for Under 6 players (children must be aged 6 or under on 31st August 2024). Most players will be in Reception or Year 1.

Is this a competitive tournament?

No — this is a non-competitive, friendly tournament. There are no league tables, knockouts, or final winners. All teams get equal play time and a positive experience.

How many players can we bring?

You may bring up to: 13 players per team (9v9)

What format will the tournament follow?

The tournament will be a round robin format. Each team will play multiple matches (4–5 depending on number of teams), all against different teams. Each game will last 12 minutes with no half-time.

How many players can we bring?

This is a 5-a-side tournament. We recommend squads of up to 8 players so that everyone gets time on the pitch without long wait times for subs.

Will players receive medals?

Yes! Although there is no winner, every team will get a group photo with our giant tournament trophy to celebrate their participation.
