This Workshop will enable you to create beautiful unique pairs of earrings out of wire. This is a one hour taster class where you learn the skills and techniques needed to make your own beautiful earrings over and over again.

This workshop will take around 1 hour in conjunction with Peterborough Artist Open Studios.

A fun and versatile class not to be missed!

Learn the age-old technique of wire working. No soldering or gluing is involved and you will learn to twist and interlock wire to create stunning statement pieces.

Techniques covered in this class include:

  • Learn about pliers, wire and basic tools used
  • Making jewellery components: ear hooks, wire links
  • How to professionally cut and shape wire
  • Create delicate swirls
  • How to design and create your wire earrings

You will create your very own finished pair of earrings that you will keep. You will make a one swirl pair of earring rather than the two in the picture due to it being a taster session, however you can add as many swirls to your earrings at home.

No previous experience is necessary

Please Make sure you arrive before the start time as this class is step by step and if you miss the beginning you will not be able to catch up!

Please park in the carpark at Tollgate, Peterborough PE3 9XD, access through the gate into the workshop! Look for the PAOS Sign

Dee-zyn Jewellery was created by myself Deanne Bullimore back in 2008. I am the jewellery designer and creator and have been creating silver jewellery for over 16 years now. After completing a silver smith course back in 2010, I decided to explore PMC (precious metal clay) and completed a diploma in this... but I still felt as though I was not quite there with what I wanted to produce.

I then found Wire Sculpture Jewellery, creating twists and swirls to shape and form the wire and to encase gems within, thus creating completely unique one-of-a-kind pieces using only Silver wire and small tools. NO soldering!!!

I fell completely in love with this and completed 6 Master Class Courses to learn the techniques needed to become an expert in the field. I now design and craft Luxury Wire Jewellery, that flows to encapsulate gemstones from around the world within the intricate wire swirls. Each piece is unique and crafted by hand using master wire sculpting techniques. I am an international seller, selling online as well as at craft fayres, wedding fayres, trade fayres and galleries.

I now run Dee-zyn Jewellery School, empowering other people to have a go and learn to create their own beautiful jewellery using the same techniques that I fell in love with. There are many different workshops and courses, providing the knowledge and physical skills needed to create different styles of jewellery, from beginners to Master Classes.

Our motto is that 'everyone can make jewellery' which we wholeheartedly believe. Our classes are suitable for all ages and abilities from complete beginners to those looking at learning new techniques or brushing up on their former jewellery making skills. Classes run on weekday evenings and weekends and prices are kept low so that more people can enjoy this creative experience.

Dee-zyn Jewellery School is a fast growing independent jewellery training centre based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. With over 30 classes running each year from beginners to Masterclass, there are plenty to choose from. The classes are run from our fully-equipped jewellery studio in a beautiful garden setting. There is something at Dee-zyn Jewellery School for everyone.
