About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • UNDER 18 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

Our walk will start at Soothill Community Centre and follow a circular route. This walk is just under 3 miles and takes in a variety of terrain; town centre streets, side roads and footpaths.

We will take time to explore this part of the Batley, looking at the wildlife, plants and natural history of this area. The pace will be very steady, and stops will be frequent. It is suitable for those who like a slow pace and frequent opportunities to talk.

You are invited to join the conversation and add your stories as we walk. Share your relationship with Batley's wild spaces and what they mean to you. Discover new ways of exploring the town and build a greater knowledge of how to interpret the landscape.

The walk will be led by EPIKS Ranger, Gilly who has a specialist knowledge of urban wild landscapes.
