    This short talk will summarise recent developments and ongoing work in Scotland associated with service provision for people with head injury in the criminal justice system in Scotland and the training of staff.

    About the speaker

    Tom has worked in the NHS and in research with people with head injury for more than four decades. Around half of this time was in London and the remainder in Glasgow. He has published more than 200 papers mostly about head injury. Since 2016 he has led a programme of work on people with head injury who are involved in the criminal justice system, which has a focus of developing our understanding through research and directing this to service improvements and staff training. Tom has received awards from several national and international bodies in recognition of his work on head injury and in developing of clinical neuropsychology training in the UK
