About this event

Escape the bustle of central London and join us for a peaceful walk through the green oasis of St James’s Park. Discover some of the amazing plants and animals that live and forage in the park along the way.

On this introductory nature walk we’ll learn how to identify some common plant and animal species and the important value they provide to the park’s biodiversity.

Which bumblebee has a fluffy white bottom?

Which plant can filter out pollutants from water?

We’ll explore some of the important wildlife habitats in St James’s Park, all while absorbing the wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature.

Who is this walk for?

These events are designed for adult attendees, over 18 years of age who are interested in learning more about nature in the parks.

How long is the walk?

This is a gentle 90-minute walk approximately 1.5miles/2.4km long. At times we may venture off paved pathways.

What should I wear?

Please keep the weather in mind. In wet weather, something waterproof including footwear; in summer, sun protection, water and walking footwear. For evening walks we recommend something warm and waterproof including footwear.

Can I bring a dog?

We kindly ask that dogs do not accompany you to this event. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Do I need to print my confirmation?

There is no need to print this confirmation. Simply give the surname of the booker to the event leader upon arrival.
