About this event

  • Event lasts 21 days 19 hours

“We will meet; and there we may rehearse most obscenely and courageously” – William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act I

In their ability to reduce isolation, therapeutic groups can provide members with the vital experience of support and belonging that in and of itself can be transformative. What is more, groups have the potential to provide a unique opportunity for exploring relational dynamics as they unfold in the here and now. This can bring to light a clearer understanding of how one experiences and is experienced by others, providing the necessary ground for developing new ways of ‘being with’. Facilitating groups has therefore always been and continues to be a core feature of psychotherapeutic practice.

Course Tutor: Rebeca Davies, PTSTA

Rebecca Davies is a UKCP-registered Psychotherapist and Certified Transactional Analyst. She is a PTSTA (P) and holds a Diploma in Supervision. She runs a private psychotherapy and supervision practice in Brighton. She loves TA theory and is eager to share and gain knowledge. She has a special interest in trauma and Body Psychotherapy. Her undergraduate degree was in Philosophy and Cognitive Science, so unsurprisingly she is interested in neurobiology and how we as therapists can work in a scientifically informed manner.

Besides TA, she is passionate about politics. She loves the outdoors and animals. She occasionally engages in creative writing and yoga (but not at the same time). She says of her own experience “My own experience of TA training was life changing, and I am very excited to work with the Link Centre students as they discover this fascinating subject and develop as counsellors and psychotherapists.
